See our success

Cora

The Lord knew we were going to be a part of WISE long before we did!  We were in the adoption process from India, and Cora came across our path.  We did not think we could provide for her needs as she has profound hearing loss, and there were other children with different needs that we were more able to care for within our family.  However, once we explored further, we learned about Dr. Woolley and WISE and all that could be offered to Cora through spoken language.  We then knew Cora was going to be a part of our family and have a future with WISE and that she would be fine.

She started at 3 years old with hearing aids and was implanted in that same year in 2017.  She is currently finishing up her kindergarten year at Oak Mountain Elementary and the gap of catching up with her peers is decreasing with each month.  We are so thankful for all the love and hard work the teachers and therapists at WISE provided for Cora. They continue to love her and cheer her on and we will forever be grateful for each of them as they have become like family over the years.

Cora is loved on by her older brother and sister, plays all the sports, wants to do piano in the future and continues to be full of joy in all that she does.  We are so excited for how WISE is continuing to expand and give this gift to so many children in need.  We plan to stay connected with them through the years and are excited to see all the wonderful things they will do!
