Teagan was diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss at 2 months. She’s been wearing hearing aids since she was 3 months old. She spent three years at WISE (from age 3-6), where resources were made available to her that she wouldn’t have had otherwise. WISE offered the ability to not only be aggressive & proactive with her therapy, but to also surround ourselves with other hearing impaired children & families and experience a sense of community. Teagan is now a 2nd grader at Hall-Kent Elem in Homewood and is reading on a 6th grade level! Aside from reading, she loves growing her own food and anything related to animals and nature studies. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She’s involved in soccer, takes acting classes, and loves swimming. We are eternally grateful to WISE!
